A. For Basic Category of School Teacher (Class 1-5)
10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Primary Education. EITHER

10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and two years Diploma in Primary Education obtained as per NCTE Regulations 2002. OR

10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.El.Ed.OR

10+2 (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). EITHER

Graduation and two-year Diploma in Primary Education (by any known name; OR

Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed. EITHER

Postgraduate with minimum marks of 55% or its equivalent qualification and three years integrated B.Ed.- M.Ed.

B. For school teachers of classes 9 to 10 for general subjects
Graduation or Postgraduate (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks in the specified subject/group of subjects and B.Ed from an NCTE recognized institution. EITHER

Graduation/Postgraduate with at least 45% marks in Graduation or Postgraduate (or its equivalent) and NCTE notified on 13.11.2002 (Application for recognition, Deadline for submission of application, Faculty determination of norms and standards for recognition of programs educational and permission to start new courses or training) Regulations 2002 and NCTE (Recognition Standards and Procedures) Regulations-2007 notified on 10.12.2007 by the NCTE B.Ed. from a recognized Institute. EITHER

B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. of four years. degree in the specified subject/group of subjects from any NCTE recognized institution.

Provision: For appointment to the post of School Teacher for Classes 09 to 10, 05 per cent relaxation will be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/EBC/BC and Divyang in minimum qualifying marks in educational qualification and training.

C. The Thematic Group for the appointment to the position of School Teacher from 9th to 10th grade:
Mathematics: – Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Chemistry/Statistics with Mathematics at graduation level with any two subjects studied at graduation level OR Graduate in Engineering with specialization in Mathematics.
Sciences:- Studied in Zoology, Botany and Chemistry at postgraduate level or graduate in engineering with specialization in science.
Social Sciences: – Passed in any two subjects of History, Geography, Economics and Political Science in the subsidiary subject / honors subject at graduation level, in which one subject must be History or Geography.

Language-related topics: – For the position of secondary school teacher, it is mandatory to have taken language-related subjects at graduation level as a language-related subject.

D. For general subjects For school teachers of classes 11 to 12
Master’s degree with at least 50% marks in the specified subject and B.Ed. from an institution recognized by the NCTE. EITHER

Postgraduate (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and NCTE notified on 13.11.2002 (Application for recognition, deadline for submission of applications, recognition of teacher education programmes) education from an institution recognized by NCTE under the Act National Council of Teacher Education (Recognition Standards and Procedures) Regulations-2007 notified on 10.12.2007 and permission to start new courses or training) Regulations, 2002 Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) OR

Postgraduate (or its equivalent) in the specified subject with at least 50% marks and B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. from any institution recognized by the NCTE. EITHER
